The aim for this music workshop is to share experiences of ministering to people through music and song and to bring that focus of "music ministry" rather than "performance" to other musicians and singers. We share on the different tasks of the music ministry, practical issues to be addressed when ministering in different settings and other highs and lows of music ministry that people may experience. We get people to reflect on scripture and through personal reflection to then compose their own songs of prayer within a group context. People are also given a short workshop on the workings of a P.A. and sound equipment that may be required when ministering. Our workshops aim to help people who feel their gifts of music and song can be used in service of the Church in whatever setting they are needed i.e. Parish choir/ Prayer Meeting/ Religious Conferences/ Retreat work.
